Canon EOS Elan, Kodak Royal Gold 100 film, 28-80mm USM lens, April 1996

I took these images at Wadi el Rayan, a large lake in the Egyptian desert. The wadi is about a two hour drive southwest of Cairo, and a very interesting one at that. We nearly drove into a sand dune that had almost completely engulfed our side of the road. After driving through the desert and then seeing this huge body of water where I would never expect to see one is an experience, to say the least. I took this from atop the cliff overlooking the lake.
