I took this picture from the top of Sugarloaf, which sits between Flamengo Beach and the Copacabana. The Indians called the peak Pau-nd-Acuqua, which to the Portuguese sounded like pao de acucar, or sugarloaf. For just a few dollars you can ride in the cable car to the top of this peak for some excellent views in all directions.
