This is the facade of Qasr Amra, and as you can see, clear
skies. Just to the right of this structure were the clouds in the previous
photo. The castle was built in the early Islamic period by Caliph Walid I in the
early 8th century. Inside the castle are recently restored frescoes from that
period which survived edicts prohibiting images.
