This is a lone column of the desert castle Amra in the
Jordanian desert, about 60 miles east of Amman. As I was here there was a major
windstorm brewing to the northwest, creating some 40+ mph winds and the
clouds you see here. There were clear skies everywhere else, giving almost no
indication of the storm's onset.
