Also taken from the cliff overlooking the city, the building on the left is the mosque of Sultan Hassan, dating from the Mamluk period, constructed in 1361. The minaret is 68 meters tall, making it an impressive landmark. The building on the right is the mosque of ar-Rifai, completed in the early 20th century.
